Visiting family and friends is a common thing that happens during CNY. Once a year, you get to see your uncles, aunts, cousins, their kids etc etc.

This year, my uncle brought half the country his whole family along to visit, including his grandchildren. All 5 of them (thank goodness the other 2 did not show up...we were running out of places to sit).

The youngest of them all was a kid whose name I could not remember. Yes, I can't remember family names. Heck, after a while, Lucy sounds like Mary sounds like Carey...so I never bother with names lah. Unsentimental sop that I am :P

So anyways, we were all there at our living room and then, I saw the youngest kid carrying a cute stuffed toy as big as her. Aw...that's amazing, I swear I had a toy exactly like that. Pink and fluffy and cute, it looked very much like my stuffed toy dog Snuggles.

*meaningful pause*

Hey wait a minute. It IS Snuggles! Omg omg omg.

Snuggles is my so-called 'traveling companion' which I keep at the back of the car so it doesn't look too empty (or spooky) when I drive alone. A big fluffy pink dog, it takes up half the back seat and on and off, I'd take him out for a good wash.

I had taken him out to wash and had not have the chance to put him back into the car yet.

Cute kid apparently got to him first. I watched in horror as she clung on to him possessively, with one hand clutching to his neck (I swear, Snuggles was as big as she was) and the other hand clutching a ... piece of ... BBQ pork meat.

*faint*

My poor Snuggles. He must've been absolutely DRENCHED in BBQ sauce by now. Aaaargh! Nooooooooooooo-ho-ho-hoooooooo *slides down the wall*.

Looks like I'm gonna have to clean him again. *sigh*. Lesson of the day - keep cute toys that have just been washed away from visitors. Especially if the visitor is only 2 feet tall.
